Administrator
Becky Abts
Becky is proud to have 22 years of health care experience with APS. When asked about her favorite part of the job, Becky says, “I enjoy the variety and being part of the process that changes our patients’ lives.” Becky is proud to work for such great doctors who she claims are not only wonderful surgeons, but wonderful people as well. She loves the strong family environment fostered by APS. Away from the office, Becky enjoys going to the Lake of the Ozarks and spending time with family and friends. Becky is married and has one daughter.
Estheticians
Krista Middleton
Krista has a degree from Johnson County Community College in Esthetics and has been with APS for 3 years. Krista states she enjoys the “rewarding process of tracking the progress and changes to her patients’ skin after getting to know each client and designing a personal skin care program”. Krista enjoys working everyday with what she calls a “wonderful group of people”. Away from the office, she enjoys landscaping, home improvement projects and spending time with her family and dog, Hope. Krista is married and is hoping to start a family soon.
Kelly Stone
Kelly graduated form the College of Hair Design’s Esthetics Program and has been with APS for 3 1/2 years. Kelly works under the philosophy that no one should have to live with unhealthy or unsightly skin and always welcomes the opportunity to help her patients feel better about their skin, which she equates to “an accurate reflection of the overall well-being of a person”. Kelly loves the passion for patient care shared by her fellow staff members. She claims, “At APS, you will always be welcomed by a warm, caring, confident and knowledgeable staff.” In her free time, Kelly enjoys fitness, vacationing and relaxing with family and friends. Kelly was born and raised in Kansas City and has been with her boyfriend for 4 years.
Nurses
Ginny Wonder
Ginny has a nursing degree from Johnson County Community College, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Drury University. She has been with APS for 10 years. Ginny states, “It is very rewarding to meet new patients at their initial consultation, assist with their surgeries and procedures and help guide them through their healing process.” Ginny asserts that APS has a wonderful staff with over 70 years combined experience that delivers first-class care to all patients and clients. Outside the office, Ginny enjoys going to church, traveling, skiing and participating in activities involving her sponsored child in Nicaragua. Ginny feels blessed to enjoy a very loving family. She is currently engaged to be married and has 2 sons and 3 grandchildren.
Amy Rossbacher
Amy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Graceland University and holds certifications in Plastic Surgical Nursing and Adult Critical-Care Nursing. She has been with APS for 11 years. Amy loves interacting with patients and using her knowledge and experience to guide patients through the process of fulfilling their dreams. She states, “I love being a part of helping create the enhanced self-esteem I see in my patients after surgery.” Amy notes that she enjoys working with five skilled, board certified plastic surgeons who “always put the patient’s interests first in their practice and encourage her to practice nursing in a compassionate and caring manner”. Outside the office, Amy enjoys ballroom dancing, going to Chiefs games, traveling and spending time with her husband, 6 children and 9 grandchildren.
Jamie Young
Jamie has an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Johnson County Community College and has been with APS for 2 1/2 years. Jamie loves interacting with patients in the office both pre-operative and post-operative and enjoys assisting the surgeon during surgery. Jamie states, “I love how we all work together to get the job done.” Jamie currently lives with her husband and 2 daughters.
Vickie Walker
Vickie has an Associate’s Degree from Penn Valley Community College and has been with APS for 6 of the 11 years she has been a registered nurse. Vickie states, “What I love most about my job is taking care of people and helping them feel better, whether it’s cosmetic appearance that is of concern, cancer related or an injury.” Vickie echoes her co-workers in noting that she loves the “family atmosphere” of APS and shared concern for the well-being of patients and clients. Outside of the office, Vickie enjoys kickboxing, yoga and staying involved with her 15 year old son’s school and athletic events.
Kristine Norton
Kristine has a nursing degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has been with APS for 5 years. Kristine loves being a part of a process which she claims can “affect a positive change in the way people feel about themselves”. Kristine notes that the great group of people she works with is what she loves most about APS. Away from the office, Kristine enjoys exploring new places and having fun in the sun! Kristine also enjoys spending time with and being an integral part of the lives of her 3 young adult children.
Receptionists
Deborah Alexander
Deborah was born and raised in Kansas City and enjoys interacting with different patients, as well as helping a patient achieve a satisfactory experience at the APS office. She also notes, “Being able to work with friends is another thing I enjoy most about APS.” In her free time, Deborah enjoys running, spending time outside, traveling and being with her family.
Jennifer Wickizer
Jennifer has been with APS for 6 years and enjoys witnessing not only the physical results achieved by patients and clients, but the increases in self-confidence achieved as well. Jennifer states, “I have found that there are not a lot of jobs out there where you can consider your co-workers your friends. I look forward to coming to work each day because I am working with a great group of friends.” In her free time, Jennifer enjoys exercising, kickboxing, traveling and spending time with her pet bulldog, Winston.
Judy Chadwell
Judy has been with APS for 4 years and takes pleasure in getting to know the patients on a personal level throughout their treatment. She states, “I love APS because the staff has become a second family to one another and share a deep passion for making the office a happy and friendly environment.” Away from the office, Judy enjoys shopping, traveling and attending her grandchildren’s soccer games. Judy has been married for 42 years, has 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
